Most Beautiful Olive Wood Soap Dish!
These soap dishes are made by hand. The dimensions are therefore approximate and can vary slightly. The wall thickness can also vary and ALWAYS the grain is different, which of course makes the beauty of this product. The 3 holes in the ground to the water drain are not always exactly in one line, but sometimes have to adapt slightly to the course of the wood.
A natural olive wood soap dish with special charm of the individual production. Handmade in Germany. Each soap dish is unique as it is carved from a piece of olive wood, made from a retired olive tree that produces no more olives.
This soap dish has water draining holes.
Please wash a few times before use to remove some of the natural oils, this may take time for all the none harmful natural oils to stop seeping out, however this doesn't stain. Store on a wipeable surface until this has stopped.
Care instructions:
• Clean olive wood products with a soft sponge, warm water and some detergent (never leave in hot water), then dry with a kitchen towel.
• It is best to rub the olive wood lightly with a few drops of olive oil (or cooking oil) immediately after purchase and then from time to time after cleaning, so that the olive wood does not dry out and retains its beautiful grain. Exception painted back scratches.
• Please never wash olive wood products in the dishwasher, leave them in the rinsing water or permanently expose them to the heat. The olive wood could tear and become very unsightly.
During use simply wash out soap residue from time to time, let it dry and rub again with a little olive oil.
Measurements:
2 different sizes:
1) Large: Length approx. 12-14 cm . Width approx. 8 cm. Height approx. 4.5 cm.
2) Medium: Length approx. 10-12 cm . Width approx. 8 cm. Height approx. 4.5 cm.
Note: Soaps with certain ingredients may react with the tannic acid naturally contained in olive wood. This is comparable to a sliced apple that turns brown in the air. After a short time, the tannic acid is washed out and this phenomenon disappears completely. Some soaps don't show up at all.
